> 1. Is there anyway of burning DVD+R on my imac ?

Not with the drive that you have. The later Flat-Panel iMacs came with a
Sony DVD-RW/DVD+RW combo drive made by Sony - but as Apple don't
officially support DVD+R or DVD+RW, all the DVD+R/RW features are
disabled. +R/RW support was slated for Panther (10.3)- but I believe it
didn't make it.

That may well be the case - certianly my iMac can't read a +RW disk
burned in my PC, however my PC can read -R and -RW disks burned in the
iMac. Most new-ish DVD drives should, however, be able to read either
type of disk. Alamy couldn't read any of the DVD-R disks I sent them
which were burned on the Mac. I'm about to try +R disks burned on the PC
to them...

> 3. Anyone know of a dealer that sells DVD-R in the U.K., pref around
> the South West ?

I get all my DVD-R for my iMac from Scan (http://www.scan.co.uk) via
mail order, or Staples if I'm in a hurry. PC-World also sell -R -
although you'll pay through the nose for the disks there...

Hope this helps,

Tim.
