Thanks Mike, - but no, I already tried the latest Silverfast & Vuescan & they don't work. Mind you, the rate that Ed Hamrick produces new versions gives me hope that there'll be a solution before long. Failing that Jan Ross�e's Belkin solution looks like the best long term fix.
