I am currently working in an environment lighted by both a bow-window and an halogen, I am working during day, cloudy or not and at night as well.
Also I am intending to light my desk with a 6 500 K neon tube reflected by a neutral grey background to match my screen settings, and the Adobe RGB white point.
The neon tube will be as close as 10 cm from the CRT. Does this will affect the screen (gamut, display)?
(As my working place is my living-room I would avoid to light a wider area than my desk)
After reading the archives and mainly the posts from Neil, you should be surprised that I choose a 6 500 K colour temperature. In fact I am far to be involved in printing for customers, and of course, proofing. I am working for stock and I repeatedly red that this temperature allows a better appreciation of colours. My aim is to set colours accordingly. I hope I didn't miss something.
Advices would be highly appreciated.
Best regards.
