Keep in mind that there is a school of thought which says the dollar still has another 20% to fall against the Euro and that there is an outside possibility of a dollar crash. Sterling isn't seeing quite as big a drop but 2USD to 1GBP looks quite likely in the next eight weeks.
So waiting a couple of weeks before making some purchases could be worthwhile, particularly if one is interested in getting hold of digital cameras (attempt to keep things on topic).
