I thought I red about a new Mitsubishi with a gamut as wide as the Adobe RGB instead of the usual sRVB gamut.
Dear Fernand
My understanding is that this monitor is expected to have a gamut that's about 98 percent of the ARGB gamut. It is likely to be very expensive and from what Bruce Fraser said on the Colorsync users list recently it is expected to be aimed at vendors rather than end users. It will be produced in very limited numbers, will have a luminance of around 80cd/m2 and when he discussed the monitor with the manufacturers, they had not decided how they were going to handle calibration.
Frustrating isn't it <G>
Cheers
