[PRODIG] Fuji S2 forbidden lenses - update

Recently I asked if anyone knew more about the inclusion in the S2 
handbook's "forbidden" list of e.g. Nikon K1 & K2 extension rings. I didn't 
get an answer, and none either on the Rob Galbraith forum - strange, I 
thought: am I a lone eccentric? So I tried Fuji UK tech support again, 
today. They told me, after background consultation, that they "had no 
authoritative answer" except that it "might" have a damaging effect if I 
fitted a K1 ring. Well, I already knew that, which was why I wanted an 
unequivocal answer.
So, it looks like I am indeed a lone nutter, with my bizarre desire to use 
lenses on the S2 with a K1 extension ring. I now have to examine all the 
other aspects of my existence, in case of even more worryingly weird, 
twisted inclinations... Fuji claimed that I was the first person to make 
such an enquiry, though they conceded that others might have asked about 
fitting certain other lenses etc.
They've said they'll email Japan on my behalf and get back to me. But am I 
alone in finding this deeply unsatisfactory? Despite my paranoia, I refuse 
to believe my request is really that weird, and it seems pitifully 
incompetent in Fuji UK to admit they cannot answer what seems to be a 
fairly straighforward technical query. I'm the customer, and I might not 
always be right but I certainly know what I want, which is authoritative 
technical guidance from the people who ought to damn well know.
I'll report back with Fuji UK's advice relayed from guru Fuji-San in his 
remote mist-shrouded temple...
