Hi List,

Martin, the List co-owner would be too modest to make this point, but his latest book is Out!

I spotted a dwindling pile at Focus, and there was a copy awaiting my arrival when I returned from the Show.

This is a New book, Martin does not do just a rehash of earlier versions. There are even more colour photographs, and the CD has new tutorials, and for those of a PC inclination, do not be deterred by the attractive MacOS X screenshots, this book is for those of both persuasions.

The design is also new, as is the order, but there is continuity with the earlier books. If you have the earlier versions, should you stump up for this? Well, if you have the latest version of Photoshop, this will help you to explore; if you have not yet acquired the CS version then this book will convince you that Photoshop CS is the way forward for digital photographers.

Do not view the book as the program's manual; but it could be seen as a photographer's manual, this book has not been written by a computer geek, but a real live practising photographer, and it shows. Where does he find the thirty-six hour days?

It does have a drawback - do not forget to buy a small wad of Post-It notes so that as you read and spot something you'll try later, you can tag it for reference!

No! You cannot borrow my copy - go buy your own.
