[PRODIG] Mac OSX and "ghost" printer

Am running Mac OSX 10.2.8. with an Epson 1160. Somehow the computer is 
seeing an additional  "ghost" printer which has called itself 
<<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>>. It thinks it is printing a job and that 
it has been stopped. I cannot access this "ghost" as all the usual 
controls in Print Centre are greyed out when I try to re-start the 
printing process or delete the printer altogether.

I have turned everything off, the computer is not net-worked but still 
it insists on seeing this other printer and cannot get out of it and 
run my usual printer. Does anyone have any suggestions please. Am not 
sure this is really a "digital photography" topic so please reply to me 
off-list if you could stop my rapid decline into insanity.
