So sorry I didn't give you all enough info. I'm working with PS CS on a PC. Yes, Shangara, the type looks okay as I'm recording it. When I play it, though, the action produces a birds nest of type, one letter on top of the other. I did reset the type tool but nothing happened. The whole tangle can be moved around after the action has finished, but I can only separate the letters from each other by resetting the character after the action has been played. It's on the default settings then, not what I want, but one letter does follow the other. My other actions work well. What a conundrum.
Dear List, I'm trapped in a perdiciment. I know the solution must be basic. I hope you all can help. .... The problem is with the type. I record a 8% black area at the bottom of the image and type the copyright symbol, date, my name and my email address (white) onto the black rectangle, then stop recording. When I play the action the letters pile up, superimposed where only a single letter should be. Could you tell me what I'm doing wrong? I'd really, really appreciate your suggestions.
