Hmmm on second look it seems that although I loaded the upgrade to CS yesterday I managed to open PS 7 instead (doh - well it is early on a Sunday morning) and now that I have opened CS the RAW dialog box is coming up OK.
BUT I am still confused about how PS 7 could open unprocessed RAW files as tiffs? What sort of wizardry is this? Look forward to someone clearing the mists from my brain Amanda ----- Original Message ----- From: "Amanda D'Arcy" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Sunday, March 21, 2004 8:03 AM Subject: Raw files on CD not opening in Adobe RAW > Hi > > hope someone a bit more technical than me can help cast light on what I am > doing wrong. > > I have set my 1DS to RAW capture only an when I plug the card in to the card > reader Adobe RAW opens automatically each time I open a raw image (although > they show up as Tiffs in the file browser which is also confusing - anyone > know why they show up as tiffs?).
