Dear List, For the next two weekends I'm going to be doing simple head and shoulder shots of entrants to a model search competition in Manchester.
I'm using a Nikon D100. If successful there could be in excess of a thousand entrants. We're going to whittle down the initial entries to 500 which will then go live on a website. Question time: Is there a way of numbering frames on the camera (it's the first time that I've used it) to match the numbered sheet each entry will hold (a la police mug shot style) for one frame ? I'm then shooting a second frame without sheet of paper for the website. What res should I set on the camera for web use only? What's the best way of cataloguing the images once downloaded onto my computer (G4 9.1 PS6 or OSX 10.2.8 but only today installed CS)? Should I invest in iView? Initially we want to whizz through the images on a laptop (from a CD) linked to a projector to get the 500. Is there a programme that allows easy input of text information tagged to the image so that I'm not typing, for instance, "height xxxx". Then the 500 have to be posted on the web. A web company is providing software etc for that.
