Hi all,
Here's a question for all you Canon EOS/Phase One C1 users.
When you process a RAW file with C1 (or camera raw plugin, for that matter) as opposed to the Canon file viewer utility, what happens to the pre-set colour matrix? Is this ignored by the phase one software, which imposes it own profile instead, or does it have any effect on the processed file. Before I had C1/PS CS I would use colour matrix 2(an sRGB natural skin tone, a bit like portra 'look')when shooting for the jpeg positional, then change it to colour matrix 4 (adobeRGB1998 but without the profile embedded, so it looks a bit flat to clients) for the raw conversion. It is of little consequence whether the information is retained or lost to me, because I get the result I want with my C1/PS_CS controls, but its good to know just what happens. They never tell you in the manuals (or they probably do, and I just don't get that far).

Any thoughts?
