Jorge,

I agree with all you say, it is a shame that some feel they can ignore your
requests about unsuitable posts.

The most recent post contains (IMO) an unnecessary and unsupported
'sideswipe' at Kodak :-

"this will be useful info if you do go for the new kodak. Kodak don't make
medium format backs anymore as the claim this is as good as a back (to be
taken with a Pinch of salt, but a good option when comparing prices with
backs"

It is made worse by the grammar (or lack of it). You will have also noted
the three '@'.

We need to ensure that Martin and Joy stay with us and also encourage other
manufacturers to sign up. This is not helped by posts of the type above.

Kind Regards

Paul

Subject: [PRODIG] List Mom Notice on iView and Kodak Reps in ProDig

Dear ProDiggers.

On behalf of list Owner Ed Horwich and Prodig list moms, I would like to
publicly thanks both Mr. Martin Wood from Kodak and Joy Remuzzi from iView
for their kind participation in ProDig, given the obvious fact that their
presence and participation in our daily exchanges definitely enhances the
value of the forum and its archive.

It is very important to keep in mind that we must all take good care in
keeping a very high level of discussions when dealing with such Brand Reps,
in order to obtain a reciprocal benefit, so we photographers may thus
enhance our experience with new hardware and software products and the
manufacturers benefit from learning directly from us of REPRODUCIBLE bugs
that may in turn help them improve their products.

It should go almost without saying that going into personalised attacks or
endless ,close-loop discussions will not be of any benefit to anyone and as
we take pride of being a very civilized group ,any sort of flame comments
must be entirely avoided.

One more time, thanks Martin and Joy. We all hope your exchange with us
become as beneficial as it can be to us. Knowing you enjoy a fine
experience here will encourage us, list moms, to produce invitations to
other representatives from other brands to join our group and thus making
ProDig a stronger and more informative list for all their participants.

Thanks all for your cooperation and participation in ProDig.

Best Regards

Jorge Parra
