I think the next version of Firmware for the SLRn and SLRc out in a week or two may well do what you want or move things greatly in that direction. I have a beta version and it works fine. If a lens is not listed you take two shots at each end of the focal length range and the camera computes the optimisation setting for you. I'll say no more just yet......
