The answer to this question has kept me awake for days, so any help would be
greatfully received !!

The problem lies with purple fringing appearing on my images, I have
currently got a Canon Powershot Pro1 on trial (its an 8mp "prosumer" camera)
I'm testing it simply because after many many years of carrying very heavy
kit around (and getting to old and much to creaky) I relish the thoughts of
having a small bag instead of a huge rucksack. Only problem is is that I get
purple fringing. So, I thought best stick to a "proper" camera so I looked
at the new Kodak SLR/n. I downloaded sample images from their web site and
could not believe the amount of p/fringing on the images. In fact I would
have to say it was worse then the Canon. I thought that since the Kodak
knocks out a 35mg'ish file and has all the latest gizmos it wouldn't suffer
the same problems as the canon. BTW, I have d/loaded some p/shop actions
from the web that helps in removing the problem to a certain extent. Is it
worth the extra dosh for the Kodak ?

Thanks in advance
callan
