(response to digest, so apologies if this reply has been attended to already)
you have to enter the annotations, captions and all information in the info boxes as it seems you did, but then you also need to do 'Snychronize' from the Action menu to actually change the details on the original PS file.
I found this out just after sending some files to a picture desk on my first use of I-View!
