Anybody exept Kodak make �Gold�CD's ?

It is my perception that cds made with aluminium foil as a reflective coating ( and that includes pretty much all the cheap ones on spindles) will degrade early due to oxidisation of the aluminium layer For archival use DO NOT USE THESE but choose a gold disk. Gold does not oxidise and will therfore last longest. DVDs have an entirely different laminaterd structure.
