Although I am just as capable of stupid mistakes as anyone, I did actually remember to unlock all the line clips, so the cause of the problem lies elsewhere. I think the black cart may be faulty but I will try Simon Pugh's helpful suggestion of swabbing the ink outlet on the cart with hot water followed by succesive purge prints, before I get back to Lyson.
