Whilst bound to be delicate - I do agree.

As a social photographer in North Wales for the last 14 years, I have been
helped enormously by many other photographers over the years, particularly
in the 'traumatic' change to digital. We still share technique on an almost
daily basis but then we all live away from each other and have our own
patches so there is never any conflict of interest.

Bjorn's friend seems like a lot of amatuers/semi-professional photographers
in the UK: because they have never had to make a living from their skills,
they ask questions that any professional would not dream of raising.
I have actually had a portrait client, who was an amateur photographer, ask
me how I built such a nice business, stating freely that he planned to set
up something similar in the next town, which was well within my catchment
area!!!!

Share info wisely.
