Hello,

I am a black and white fine art photographer.   I am also an old dog learning new tricks. I started the transition from silver about seven years ago  I have spent these years researching, experimenting and reading,  to gain as much depth and understanding of digital photography as I had of traditional silver.  I am not much of a technocrat but I love testing.  I test everything obsessively.  Testing is how  I mastered silver printing. However I find that testing in the computer world is frustrating. There are so many automatic overlapping algorithms working behind the scenes that it is very difficult to isolate a single factor in order to fully understand how it is working.   I usually have more question following a test than I had before starting.   I have decided to stop testing and start asking for help.

I have many questions  and I am looking forward to exchanging views and experiences with you.
