I should say (as I did on my intro) that my main income is not from
Photography (I wish it was, ho-hum), so my livelihood does not depend on it.

I could not agree more with Jorge. The adverts now run along the lines of
'buy yourself a 3mp camera and a printer and you can produce top quality
results'. Someone on the list said (sorry, but can't remember who) said that
it is the quality of the image that separates the pro from the rest. This
will always be the case.

I believe that because it is seen to be easy to produce a photo with
digital, Joe Public thinks it IS easy to produce a GOOD photo with digital. 
This is of course bunkum, but have to admit to being guilty of thinking this
myself. However, I am using the advantages of digital workflow to the
benefit of the quality of my images. I have realised that just because it is
easier to produce images with digital, this does not make the image better
(you just find out sooner that your pictures are c**p). I doubt many owners
of digital cameras are being as self critical.
