Sigma will rechip the lens for you and that should fix the problem -
phone Sigma & ask for the service dept & explain. They will need to
see a copy of the invoice, and will give you a number to put on the
box. If you don't have a receipt (or the lens is old) it doesn't cost
much. They're a helpful bunch. The 10D is worse than the 1Ds, & I
presume the 300D is like the 10D.
