Jessop's in Leicester have just had a supply of EOS-1Ds camera bodies. Thad does not seem to support the theory of a new version. However if we all wait for new versions we would wait for ever and never buy in case the new version comes out. It seems to me that you need to buy the current best, and if that works for you , you don't need to concern yourself with future upgrades. I think much of it is marketing ploy. Apple and Adobe are the current masters in this area of modern commerce
