With regard to the Kodak v. Canon DSLR debate... A dealer friend of mine has been told by Canon that there is definitely no replacement in the pipeline for the Canon 1Ds, either at Photokina or anywhere else. The camera will remain their flagship product for the foreseeable future though there may be a price reduction. There may be a replacement for the 10D.
Martin Wood (Kodak) claims that the new Kodak camera will accept all Nikon or Canon shift lenses. My own personal choice for architectural work (depending on the nature of the job) would be the Canon 1Ds with 24mm T/S lens. The build quality and image quality using LightPhase software were the deciding factors for me. While much perspective control can be achieved in PS, correction of extremely tall buildings is preferable optically in camera.
