I have used this lens for a number of years in conjunction with a Leaf
Volare/Sinarcam combination. As this setup has no movements, used in this way
for tabletop photography I found it to be indispensable allowing a great
deal of flexibility, indeed I used it almost exclusively. It is a bulky lens
so I can well imagine the problems associated with coupling it to the 14n or
the like. I can only advise you to take the plunge.

The 85mm is tilt/shift... and this is the one that's most problematic with
the 14n. A lot of us table top package shooters had high hopes for that
lens with the 14n. It requires a bit more drastic modification than the wide
angle shift lenses where I think a simple turning down of the knobs will
suffice. I've always lusted after the 85mm but I've never taken the plunge
and laid out the cash for one. Its still on my wish list.
