I use one as an occasional backup device - and it works fine. It is Firewire so fast when backing up a hard drive. A decent amount of space (up to 40GB).
Useful for something called music too!!!! :-)
I also have the Belkin Card Reader for backing up CF cards in the field. It works OK but is slooow.
