As for reliability - well Mike Allen who runs the place has been in the business for over 30 years and does most of Fleet St [ now Isle of Dogs ] cameras. They are warranty repairers for Canon, Kodak & Nikon. Ask to speak with Mike's partner Paula who administers the service side. Obviously cannot say time for your job but i reckon to get all gear turned round in about 48 hrs and it always works when I get it back.
Sorry to hear about your fire - next time you decide to try cooking speak to Norman Childs who works down mines and who, so rumour has it, roasts his cameras in an oven before starting to shoot.
