Edward - I did indeed purchase a body for �4730 from my local Jessop. I was and am making a large number of other purchases (printer, lenses, other bits for the Canon ...) so this may have influenced the price. In other words, I cannot claim that this was an equivalent purchase to your body-only purchase. Details of what I did are in my original mail.
