When handling it 2 weeks ago, I found that I was continually knocking the little button on the RHS rear of the camera, which was putting the camera in review mode.

this was an often complaint with the 14n. Kodak added what users affectionately refer to as a nose lock in later firmware versions. It keeps you from bumping buttons with your nose and turning on the LCD while your shooting. I can't recall what the menu item is called. Its not really obvious, but there's a setting that sets the camera so that only one button on the rear of the camera... the OK button... will activate the LCD. You have to push that button first before using the LCD and any of the other buttons. It effectively locks all of the buttons on the rear of the camera except one and unlocks them when you push that one button.
