Michael

If you follow the above steps, the files "should" be saved into separate
folders. No need to wait for an ideal world! <g>

Let me get this straight, are you saying if you record an action with the
above/following steps the files are still saved into one folder?

1. File > Open, then process or apply previously saved Raw settings

2. Once the file is in Photoshop, File > Save As > Format: TIFF (specify a
different folder to the Raw files)

3. File > Save As > Format: JPEG (specify a different folder to the TIFFs
folder)

4. File > Close

A safer option would to view by Kind (I think it's Type on a PC). Simply
click on the bar at the top of the Finder window to sort them into Tiffs and
JPEGs. If the option does not appear at the top of a Finder window, select
Finder > View > Show View Options and make sure Kind is selected. I don't
like to view files as icons, so this method suits me when I need to sort
files in a folder.
