I enclose a copy of a letter to e bay that may be of help to members:-
In responded to two advertisements on your site for software programmes. Both advertisements were either inaccurate or did not give all the information. I expected to receive authorised versions of the software. Instead I received copies on blank disks. Anyone can copy programmes and sell them, but I presume that this is highly illegal
Ithought I was protected by your PayPaloffshoot, when, in fact, PayPal only now deals with goods not sent, but not with faulty or illegal goods. As you seemingly do nothing to police your site you may be considered a party to this activity. You give no indication as to where your office is situated in the UK and therefore makes it impossible to issue a writ for a Country Court refund. It may be that the major Firms who lose money as a result of piracy may decide to suein the US courts possible parties involved, however indirectly, to this activity. I hope they do.
No representative has ever contacted me. Your web site is dense with clauses and sub clauses but is of little help to a purchaser of goods. You seem interested in protecting vendors who are the source of your income. This may eventually come back to haunt you.
