Dear Listees
For nearly two weeks now I have been unable to send messages to Prodig, although I can receive them like everyone else on the list in the normal way. My messages are returned saying that they have been blocked and I am directed to www.dsbl.org I can send and receive messages from anyone else.
At first I queried the Prodig server with Ed, who assured me there was no method of blocking used by the Prodig site. I then contacted my server, who eventually found out that they had been targeted by this organisation, through my email to Prodig. Apparently, it seems that www.dsbl.org are a legitimate organisation set up to police the sending of spam by anyone to anyone. It is done secretly and ISP's usually do not know that they are on boycotting list until it is brought to their attention by their users.
After ten days of communications, My IP has finally got this organisation to accept that my mail was genuine and not offensive. However, I am told it will still take until tomorrow, before the issue will be corrected and I can again send posts to Prodig. This really does smack of 'big brother' control to me and I am wondering if other listees have had a similar problem.
