Hi everyone, I'm looking for a complex answer to a simple question about Nikon raw files. From what I understand raw files contain unprocessed image data directly from the analogue to digital converter, I am not so sure about that, surley there is some kind of processing being applied to the file. Such as linearization, normalization/digital look up table, dark current subtraction, colour rendering, adjusting for optical flare or sensor nonlinearities? Anyone have ideas on this one?
