It's great, quoted as fast as a FW reader on dpreview, search for delkin.

One other improvement is I can download at the same time on two different external firewire HDs. With the 16 bits adaptor it was the break down (the deepest on from the Unix kernel). The activity monitor unfortunately shows a lot of processor activity (almost saturated), didn't check yet the memory use.

But in an overall it's twice faster than the usual adaptor with huge difference with the card type (Microdrives are very slow). Didn't experienced a faulty copying for now.

One other advantage is the lower warming, with 5 1GB to download I had to use two 16 bits adaptors while one 32 bits works fine now.
