We are experiencing some problems with IVMP 2.5 recognizing file orientation (horizontal/vertical) from a Nikon D70/NEF. The D70 tags image orientation, but this isn't transferring to IVMP 2.5 on a OSX 10.3.5

If I'm not mistaken version 2.6 is out of beta, and may perhaps include a correction for this issue.
I'd also suggest dropping a line to Joy Remuzzi <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, their marketing director who frequents this list, just in case it doesn't.
