Hi A while ago the CD drive on my Mac G4 OS9.2 began to give an error message 9356 'connection not stable' and failed to write the disc, causing the machine to hang up in the process. It was replaced but that drive developed the same fault after a few months and was also replaced. Now the third drive is exhibiting the same problem after roughly the same amount of time. Tested on another machine the first drive showed as faulty but the second was OK. Re-installing Toast or using different discs makes no difference. Can anyone suggest why this should be happening?
