Check to see if there was a file recovery application with the Canon software package otherwise you might try Easy Recovery Professional. My wife accidentally deleted her CF card from her Nikon Coolpix 5000 and the downloaded pictures. There appered to be no images anywhere. We installed easy Recovery Professional and it found all the pictures and copied them to the hard drive.
