IMO, no way is Imageprint a proofing RIP, apparently it has an RGB
pipeline and no linearization features.

gmg Colorproof is great (accurate and reasonably straightforward)
although to some it can seem quite expensive (and pc only). I just took
up with gmg and got the 2 day training because it has very special
matching capabilities and some very <prepress popular> features.

If you're interested in proofing [and since you are in the USA] I'd
recommend you contact one of my fellows from the
www.colormanagementgroup.com . I just got voted onto the group so my
details are still to be added.

I did a poll among cmgroup members present at a press room session I
recently attended in NC. The Digi Cromalins they knew of were in
corners and in corridors - dusty and unused. The cost of operation and
lack of accuracy to press was said to be the issue that got them retired.
