Suggest soaking clean (Filtered) water for 5 to 10 minutes then a brief rinse in wetting agent and dry. No harmful chemicals and a chance to rub your fingers across the emulsion under water to ascertain cleanliness. Your fingertip can detect 1/10,000 of an inch difference in a surface so you will be able to feel if there is any residual debris on the film without leaving fingerprints. Ive used that technique for 40 years,it works and its cheap.
Try doing that with a hard drive :-)) Regards Michael Wilkinson. 106 Holyhead Rd, Ketley, Telford, Shropshire.
