It has come to my attention that some people might interpret my previous message on this subject as a commercial for these products. I don't have any commercial interest in them whatsoever. I was just passing along some info that I found very useful when using digital cameras.. particularly in the outdoors. I don't own a commercial version of the loupe... I have one that I made myself... but I'm considering buying one of the commercial versions which I'm sure will be more durable than mine which is made of foam-core and gaffer's tape.
Rick Lee -------------------------------------------- http://www.rickleephoto.com -------------------------------------------- -----Original Message----- Subject: [PRODIG] Digital LCD magnifier Cool... this type of magnifier is now commercially available... http://www.tallyns.com/digimagnifier.htm https://www.tallyns.com/secure/digifinderorder.htm When I got my Fuji S1 back in 2000 or whenever it was... I was frustrated when I took the camera out in the daylight... I couldn't see the LCD screen. So I invented a little magnifier device that looks almost exactly like the "DIGIFINDER" in the link above. I've been using it all these years and it's a HUGE help. You need an >enclosed< loupe to block out the light. It's not a subsitute for viewing the images on the laptop... as there is no real detail viewable on the lo-res LCD... but it does make the LCD screen useful in daylight and it's also easier to judge composition and exposure when the image is magnified... so I use it often even when the ambient brightness isn't a problem. =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
