Have you tried a making a new user account? I had a weirdly corrupted colorsync utility (I think) which was solved by creating a new user and using that (long before 10.3.5 though). Just a thought. Also does it happen on an external monitor? I had similar effects with an extra video card which was either incompatible or faulty, never found out which.If anybody has any ideas I'd be very grateful.
