Anthony: If you have IIT, I'd suggest using that for generating keywords, and then simply "cut-and-paste" the terms into the "keyword" field in the File info feature. I'd prepared a Quicktime movie for the Controlled Vocabulary forum members, but will share that with the prodiggers now... http://www.controlledvocabulary.com/imagedatabases/sampleqt.html I've also got full written step by step instructions that describe the exploit I show in the quicktime if you prefer written documentation. >I use IIT as my principal keyworder: could this be a problem for CS? No, words keyworded within IIT are in the IPTC standard, and PSCS reads IPTC files just fine. >I cannot drag keywords to new categories/sets (are these the same thing?): I > have a pile of words generated for pictures from a recent shoot, and I > don't know how to make them a self-contained set within CS, in addition to > a a collection of IIT templates. I'm a bit confused by what you are asking here, and which programs you are referring to. Image Info Toolkit (IIT) is one program, Photoshop is a second. You can't simply "drag" items from one application to another, however you can "cut-and-paste" text terms from one text field to another. With IIT, you CAN drag the terms from the keyword catalog to the "Caption" field where each term is separated with a comma and a space. You can then "CUT" this set of terms in one swelled foop, and "Paste" it into the "Keyword" field in Photoshop CS's File info feature. If you then click "ok" or click into any other field in Photoshop CS, you'll magically see the commas transmutate into semi- colons through Photoshop alchemy <bg>.
