So... Went into Leeds yesterday for hands-on play with the new 1Ds Mk.2 at Canon presentation. Nice camera with some excellent improvements over the 1Ds Mk.1. The intention was to shoot some comparison RAW files with the new baby and my 1Ds. Unfortunately the new Canon RAW file format cannot be processed in Capture 1 or Adobe Camera RAW. It can only be processed in the latest version of the Canon software which wasn't there because by the sound of things they are still writing it. All of which rendered the event a tad pointless. Bit like test driving a car with only one forward gear.
