Most software for mail list management and or forums is open source (ie: free) and there is bound to be something that meets the needs. What normally costs is the hardware to run the list and the bandwidth.

I'm not sure how much that all costs and who pays for it but it would be interesting to know.

I'm conscious that Prodig is free and that software costs money, but if people are serious about keeping what is a valuable means to stay in a contact with a large and knowledgeable community of photographers and other experts, perhaps members could make a voluntary one off payment towards getting such software up and running. I'd be happy to. Any other takers?
