I've used the Eye-One Display2, both on a Laptop, and Apple cinema display, both running 10.3.6 and have had no problems. White points calibrated to 6500K fine. You can download Eye-One Match version 3.01 from www.gretagmacbeth.com, which might fix your problem. Also, try calibrating the laptop screen on its own, without having the other monitor connected. I've found that if you have the monitors set to mirror, then the software gets confused in which screen your are calibrating. Using the two screens as an extended desktop worked fine.
