Hello all.

We are soon going to say goodbye to our computer systems which have served
us valiantly and steadfastly for the past couple of years. In other words,
they're hopelessly out-dated and slow, enormously lacking in RAM and
processor speed, and barely capable of satisfactorily running Solitaire, let
alone any of the more man-sized Photoshop procedures.

We're using PC, with dual monitors driven by a Matrox G 550 dual head video
cards (AGP compatible) and the plan was to take these cards from our
existing computers and use them in the new systems. However, Intel are
apparently moving away from AGP to PCI Express which means that the latest
generation of mother-boards doesn't support AGP video, and that means I'm
looking for PCI Express compatible, dual-head video cards. Matrox don't seem
to be producing anything yet, and the only information I can find on loads
of different web-sites relates only to gaming frame-rates and the
fantastically realistic way in which the aliens green gooey blood splashes
around the landscape after you've blasted them with your 15 trillion
bacterial-volt fusion percolator. Sounds enthralling, but doesn't fill me
with any confidence about calibrating (Gretag Eye-One) our monitors (Sony).

Anyone out there found any suitable hardware? Any help would be very
welcome.

Martin
