[PRODIG] flashing lights on 1290

Hi y'all   One last try before my printer, which briefly worked after advice from the list, goes on a ride from which it will not return.   In the middle of doing a head clean it decided it had "a foreign object" in it and the start (green) light and the paper feed (red) light are flashing, one then the other.  There is nothing in it.  I have tried switching off, leaving overnight, unplugging power whilst switched on, etc.   Any ideas?   Mark
