yes, I already recommended that.

well, it does it all the time so we'll never know!
seriously, as I understand it, calculations are referenced to Lab, but
the image does not make the potentially damaging trip in and out.

no

that's a pretty small space, it has some advantages when supplying RGB
to industry,  but getting an image in there is a potentially very
important (damaging) move and full of tripwires. (I have written lots
about that here recently).
