I have been lurking for some time now, mainly because I felt I had little to contribute. However, I now feel its about time I did so, here goes...

I am a photographer/cameraman based in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia (the northern part of Borneo), although originally from the UK. I specialise in underwater subjects and until recently have only ever shot on film. However, I have been testing a D100 and Nexus housing combination and am now considering a D2X when it is released and will then make the jump to all-digital. When a suitable housing is available, I'll be able to provide some feedback about how this camera works in the underwater world.... The bane of u/w digital photography are those blue graduations and I'm hoping the D2x will go some way to addressing such problems.

Background - I am a Zoologist who went sideways after university, diving/shooting around the world and working in photo libraries such as Science Photo and Corbis to pay the bills. Since 1997 however, I have been based permanently here in Sabah and with my colleagues, have been developing a photography/filming business. We now shoot on HiDef and are involved in productions throughout SE Asia, but my main role/passion is to now develop the photography side of things to match our filming business.

ProDig is a great resource for me, and I hope I'll be able to put something back in the future.
