I'm looking at buying a Eos 1d Mk II to replace 35mm trannie whilst shooting motorbikes for the UK Bike magazines.. Does anyone have any experience of having files from this camera reproduced over a DPS in a magazine? If so how did it perform.. ? I've had images from my SLR/c used over DPS's and have felt it compared unfavourably to velvia
I've regularly had DPSs from Fuji S2 which is only 6.1mp (or 12.2 interpolated as some claim) and feel it beats 35mm velvia. I think it's more down to repro than the camera. I'm surprised at your opinion of the SLR/c for DPSs (It's not quite DPS but look at CAR magazine Nov 04 issue page 104, feature all shot on S2) I don't have the 1D MK2 but have heard good reports...
